If you've been curious about flogging but assumed it was reserved for people with a dungeon and a decade of practice, this is the piece that proves otherwise. The Saffron Classic Flogger carries forty long faux leather falls (the formal name for the strands on a flogger) in the collection's signature red and black, and the way it lands depends almost entirely on how you swing it. A loose, rolling motion drags the falls across skin like a brush. A faster, shorter stroke gathers them into something with real bite.

The nickel-free metal handle adds weight and balance; a heavier handle does some of the work for you and makes your aim more consistent, so you are less likely to land a stroke somewhere you didn't intend. At 23 inches total with 17 inches of falls, it has enough length for full-body strokes without needing a huge amount of room to swing.

The falls are vegan-friendly PU leather, so cleaning is simple. Wipe them down with a damp cloth and mild soap, let them air dry fully, and hang the flogger by its loop rather than folding it, which keeps the strands from creasing.

Educator's Note: Flogging is one of the most forgiving entry points into impact play, because the sensation is spread across forty strands instead of concentrated in one surface. That makes it easier to build intensity gradually rather than jumping straight to something sharp. Start by warming the skin with slow, light strokes before adding any force, and keep your strikes on the fleshy areas: the butt, the upper back across the shoulder blades, and the backs of the thighs. Stay away from the lower back and flanks where the kidneys sit, the spine, the neck, and any joint.
