The Edge Spiked Punishment Mat is a firm foam surface covered in pyramid spikes at three different heights, so pressure lands unevenly and the discomfort builds the longer you remain in place.

Escalation is the design. Kneel, sit, or lie across it, and the first thirty seconds feel like texture. After several minutes, it feels like something else entirely, without anything having changed. At 24 by 16 inches, it is large enough to kneel on with both knees or to lie across.

Silver grommets at each corner accept cuffs or rope, which turns the mat from a surface into a position. When the scene ends, it rolls up into a dual-buckled faux leather holster, which is the difference between a piece you keep out and a piece you keep hidden. The surface wipes clean with a damp cloth.

Educator's Note: This is an endurance piece and belongs in the hands of people who already know how their partner responds under sustained discomfort. Kneeling loads the knee joint and compresses circulation in the lower legs, and the compounding nature of the sensation means someone can pass their limit without a clear moment where it happened. Set a time limit before you start and hold to it rather than playing it by feel.
