The Edge Silicone Pinching Rods work on a sliding principle: two flat rods fused at one end form a flexible V, and a silicone ring slides along them toward the fused end to squeeze them together. Move the ring further in and the pressure increases. Move it out, and it eases.
Because the rings come in four sizes, with four of each (sixteen total), you choose your tension range before you start and then fine-tune by position. That's a more granular setup than a screw clamp gives you, and it means two people with different tolerances can use the same pair without resetting anything mechanical.
The rods are body-safe silicone over a flexible core, which keeps the grip smooth rather than pinching at an edge. They are designed for nipples but work anywhere with enough tissue to catch. Wash with mild soap and warm water, and keep silicone lubricants away from them.
Educator's Note: Everything that applies to nipple clamps applies here: the pressure restricts blood flow, and the rush people describe as intense happens on release when circulation returns. Start with the largest ring, which gives the lightest squeeze, and work down across sessions rather than within one. Fifteen to twenty minutes is a sensible ceiling when you are new to it, and numbness, tingling, or color change means take them off now. Slide the ring outward to release gradually rather than pulling the rods apart, and expect a sharp wave of sensation for several seconds afterward. Never sleep in them, and keep the small rings away from children and pets.
