The collar is faux fur lined over a faux leather exterior, which makes a real difference over a long scene. Bare faux leather against the neck gets sticky and starts to chafe. Fur does not. It measures 18.5 inches with an adjustable closure, and the 30-inch chain leash detaches, so the collar works on its own when you want it to.

All the hardware is nickel-free rose gold plated, including the leash chain. Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth, spot-clean the fur, and hang the set rather than folding it so the fur does not flatten.

Educator's Note: A leash is more of a communication tool than a control tool. It lets one person set the pace without saying anything, and it lets the other person feel direction rather than hear instructions. The single most important thing about leash play is where the tension goes. A leash clipped to the front of a collar and pulled forward puts pressure on the throat, which is not what this collar is built for and not something to improvise with. Guide from the side or hold the leash with slack in it, so the signal is direction rather than force.

All of our products ship from a warehouse in either Arizona or Michigan.  Orders are processed within 1-2 business days and typically ship within 3-4 business days.  You will receive tracking information via email once your order has shipped. 

All orders are discreetly shipped from "NALCOR" in plain packaging or US Postal Service packaging. It will not indicate the origin or contents unless required for international customs purposes. Our business name, MOTHERLODE, is not used anywhere on the outside packaging.

In the event of a package return due to improper address or other problem, the customer is responsible for covering the fee to reship.
