The reason this works and an ordinary candle does not comes down to melting point. Soy wax melts at a far lower temperature than the paraffin in a standard candle, low enough to pour onto skin as a warm oil rather than a burn.

The nutrient-rich soy and essential oil blend leaves skin softened and lightly scented rather than greasy, so the candle doubles as a massage oil you do not have to buy separately. Choose Jasmine & Lily for something sweet and floral, or Ylang Ylang & Mandarin for a warmer scent with a citrus edge.

Educator's Note: Test every candle on your own inner wrist before it goes anywhere near a partner, because pour temperature varies with how long it has burned and how much wax has pooled. Height controls heat: the further the wax falls, the cooler it lands, so start high and come closer only once you both know how it feels. Good areas include the back, chest, stomach, and thighs. Keep it off the face, away from the eyes and hair, and off anywhere with broken or irritated skin. Never use a regular candle for this, and never use a candle with added dyes or fragrance oils not formulated for skin. Keep the open flame away from bedding, hair, and anything flammable, and put it out before it becomes the least important thing in the room. Peel the cooled wax off gently or wash it away with warm water and soap.

All orders are discreetly shipped from "NALCOR" in plain packaging or US Postal Service packaging. It will not indicate the origin or contents unless required for international customs purposes. Our business name, MOTHERLODE, is not used anywhere on the outside packaging.

It is up to you to know what types of laws exist in your area. We are not responsible for items that authorities decide are to be confiscated. We can not be held accountable for items that are illegal in your state or country.

In the event of a package return due to improper address or other problem, the customer is responsible for covering the fee to reship.

We cannot be held responsible for stolen or misdelivered packages. We will do our best to support you in righting the situation, but we cannot guarantee a re-shipment or a refund.
